Over The Counter (OTC) Medicines Manager

We are recruiting for the position of OTC Medicines Manager who will manage the OTC Healthcare and Medicines area of the pharmacy. This is a dynamic area of the pharmacy and you will have a keen eye for detail, enjoy the customer interaction and be responsible for orderings and merchandising. Product knowledge, ability to identify customers’ needs and strengthening customer relationships are at the core of this opportunity.

If you excel in customer serivce with the goals of providing expert healthcare advice and helping customers to identify the right products for their needs this could be the role for you.

You will have previous experience working in the Irish pharmacy system, particularly the healthcare area. You have good knowledge of pharmacy and regulatory requirements.

Previous pharmacy experience is a distinct advantage. While ideally this is a full-time role we would consider 3 to 4 days per week.

Pharmacist - Full Time - Galway City

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to join our team in Galway City on a full-time permanent basis.

We Offer

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a patient-focused pharmacy with a large, friendly, support team, including other pharmacists and technicians, at the interface between the community and hospital settings.

  • Should the candidate wish there is also an extra opportunity to be trained in and implement regular clinical reviews with doctors and nursing staff in care homes.
  • There will also be a further opportunity to participate in a fully funded Management Diploma Programme or Clinical Masters depending on the successful candidate's interests and suitability.

This role can be adapted to suit a new graduate or a pharmacist of a number of years’ experience.

The successful candidate will be:

  • registered or about to register with the PSI
  • have fluent English (having completed all language examinations as per PSI requirements)
  • very organised and
  • have the ability to work within or lead a well-trained pharmacy team.
